TEL AVIV – Families of Israelis held captive by Hamas have called on Prime Minister Benjamin Betanyahu to stop ongoing bloodshed in Gaza and go for negotiation, adding that it remains the only way to  return captured soldiers and other captives still held in the Gaza Strip.

According to them, Netanyahu’s government  has abandoned the captives in pursuit of his personal interest, adding “this is a crime”, and  that “the only way to save them is by stopping the war immediately”.

They are of the view that entering Rafah poses threat to the lives of captured soldiers.

“Netanyahu must be removed from power immediately because he is leaving captured soldiers to face death. Netanyahu fails the exchange deal and must be removed immediately. We will arrive at the Knesset and demonstrate there, and the people will return the captured soldiers to their homes”, they said.

According to them,  the War Cabinet must ensure that the living prisoners are returned immediately through an exchange deal.

“Netanyahu continues to sabotage all attempts to reach a deal for the sake of his personal interests. The only way to release the prisoners is to stop the war immediately and reach a deal.

“We say to Gantz and Eizenkot: You did nothing, and your duty is to reveal the truth and remove Netanyahu from power. We say to Gallant: It is time to remove Netanyahu from power because this is the only way for the captured soldiers to return”, the families said.
