May 17, 2015 – Reigning Pears Baby Queen, Somkene Chukwuka Eze is dead. She died on Friday at a tender age of two.
Her aunt who told the story said she slumped in her school at Magodo and was rushed to hospital where doctors tried without success to revive her.
She said Somkene was a very happy, active and lovely baby adding that the fact that she was an angel could never be over emphasized.
“Everybody loved her, in church, school and even at her parents offices. The joy that she brought to her family and all of us in her two years knows no bounds. She turned 2 years May 6th” her aunt said
Lovely Somkene pocketed N1, 000,000 when she was crowned Pears Baby of the year. The first runner up won N500,000 naira cash prize, while the second runner up walked away with the sum of N250,000 naira cash prize.
All the three babies also had one year supply of pears baby range of products.
