Parts of the A320 Airbus scattered down the French Alps

March 27, 2015 – Unbelievable revelations characterised the probe into Airbus A320 that crashed in French Alps on Tuesday killing all 150 passengers and crew.

Relatives of victims were stunned as a French Prosecutor revealed that the co-pilot locked himself alone in the cockpit and flew it into a mountain with what appears to be an intent to destroy it.

So far the motive of the co-pilot named Andreas Lubitz, 28 is unknown even though French and German officials have ruled out terrorist attack.

Lubitz is said to have gained sole control of the aircraft after the captain left the cockpit and refused to re-open the door.

Brice Robin one of the prosecutors said sound recordings from one of its black boxes suggested most of the passengers were aware of their fate until the very end.

“Only towards the end do you hear screams and bear in mind that death would have been instantaneous … the aircraft was literally smashed to bits, ” he said.
