Fielding questions from newsmen after the weekly State Security Council meeting presided over by Governor Babatunde Fashola at the Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja, the State Police Commissioner, Mr. Kayode Aderanti, said the police and other security agencies were alert to ensure the security of life and property in all parts of the state.

Noting that there are some security challenges currently at hand, the commissioner said his command and other security agencies were addressing such challenges “frontally and in a very comprehensive manner” assuring that in a couple of days and weeks Lagosians would see the results of their efforts.
