LAGOS, Nigeria – While Nigerians are still debating the audacious attack on Benue State Governor, Mr. Samuel Ortom, a Fulani group, called the Fulani National Movement(FUNAM) has owned up that it attacked the governor and that the plan was to assassinate the governor.
In a statement published by Daily Post, signed by Umar Amin Shehu, FUNAM said that although the attempt failed, it will certainly kill Governor Samuel Ortom and other Southern Governors that stand in their way of actualizing their Fulani agenda.
“Yes, yes, we did. The Fulani National Movement carried out the attack. We have genuine reasons. We acted on behalf of millions of Fulani people in 15 countries.
“It is a case of vengeance against an infidel who has used his time and money, deployed in destroying the Fulani values and inheritance. Our outrageous fighters carried out this historic attack to sent a great message to Ortom and his collaborators.
“Wherever you are, once you are against the Fulani long term interest, we shall get you down. This is a clear warning.
“We hope those who take us for granted will get the indisputable message”, the group said, adding that it will hunt down all governors against the RUGA settlement.
