YEMEN – Yemenis have reacted to strikes across Yemen, using the US B2 Stealth bomber, noting that the attacks are not only futile but that they will not deter Yemen.
The US Air Force had announced targeting about five underground storage facilities in Yemen for disrupting navigation in the Gulf of Aden, Red Sea and the Indian Ocean in solidarity with the people of Palestine, who are under ongoing genocide by Israel supported by the United States and its allies.
The Yemenis have said they will continue attacks on ships plying the Gulf of Aden, Red Sea and others until the aggression on Palestine comes to an end.
Reacting to the attacks, a senior Yemeni military source told Al-Mayadeen that the use of “B-2 Stealth Bombers” indicates U.S. panic over the downing of its planes in Yemeni airspace and its fear of Yemen possessing surprising aerial weapons.
“Any American or British aircraft or weapons used to strike Yemen cannot neutralize the strategic weapons that the Yemeni army has prepared and continues to develop”, the source said,adding Yemen will not stop and will continue to support Gaza and Lebanon, and that the escalation will have catastrophic consequences for the Americans, the British, and their allies.
“The recent aggression did not target weapons depots and had no impact on Yemen’s weapons infrastructure, in terms of quantity or quality.
“These strikes came after the American enemy suffered a painful blow in the Red Sea, following missile and drone attacks on its commercial ships that hit their targets accurately.
“The American and British failure is very clear in protecting the entity, and they resort to attacking Yemen to no avail. It is clear that their assessment and study are wrong, and their aggression against Yemen is futile.
“The aggression against Yemen is merely to appease the zionist lobby, which is floundering and defeated in Gaza and southern Lebanon, and is being targeted by Yemen and Iraq, with significant failure in its air defenses”, the statement added.
The source said United States, Britain, and “israel’s” target bank is blind in Yemen, and their plans are clear and well-studied by the Yemeni army.
“The Yemeni people do not hide, but will come out in the millions to challenge the United States, Britain, and the zionist entity, renewing their support for Gaza and Lebanon”, the source said.
In its reaction, the Ansarallah Political Bureau said
the evil, terrorist, and criminal state of America has launched a new aggression against Yemen, targeting the capital Sanaa and Saada province with a series of airstrikes.
:The U.S. airstrikes are a cowardly act of aggression against Yemen and a blatant violation of Yemeni sovereignty, as well as a flagrant breach of all international laws, norms, and treaties.
“The American aggression on Yemen comes within the context of “israeli” and American escalation against Palestine, Lebanon, and Yemen”, the group said, adding that the U.S. aggression on Yemen is part of a comprehensive attack on the ummah, its sanctities, and its just causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause.
“We affirm that this American aggression will not go unanswered.
“The U.S. airstrikes will not deter Yemen from continuing its support and assistance to Gaza and Lebanon in confronting Israeli arrogance backed by the U.S.
“The Yemeni people will not abandon Palestine and the Palestinian cause, as this is a principle of faith, ethics, and humanity”, the group said.
