YEMEN – In continuation of its support for Palestinians who are subjected genocide on a daily basis by Israel, the Yemeni Armed Forces, YAF has imposed naval blockade on the Port of Haifa and Port of Umm al-Rashrash as part of efforts to put pressure on Israel to halt genocide on Gaza.

In a statement, YAF said the leadership has began working to enforce a naval blockade on the Port.

“In response to the Israeli enemy’s escalation of its brutal aggression against our people and in Gaza, committing dozens of massacres in daily basis and claiming hundreds of victims in a crime of genocide the likes of which the world has never witnessed. And in response to the continued siege and starvation. And in response to the enemy’s refusal to halt its aggression and lift its siege.

“The Yemeni Armed Forces, relying on Allah and trusting in Allah, have decided, with Allah’s help, to implement the leadership’s directives to begin working to enforce a naval blockade of the port of Haifa”, the statement said.

Accordingly, all companies with ships present in or heading to this port are hereby notified that, as of the time of this announcement, the aforementioned port has been included in the target bank, the YAF said.

It added “they are urged to take into consideration the contents of this statement and any subsequent announcements”, it said and that the decision comes after the armed forces succeeded.

“Thanks to Allah Almighty and with Allah’s help, guidance, and blessings, in imposing a blockade on the port of Umm al-Rashrash and bringing it to a standstill.

“They will not hesitate, with Allah’s help, to take the necessary additional measures in support of our oppressed Palestinian people and their esteemed resistance.

“All measures and decisions of the armed forces related to the Israeli enemy, including support operations and the ban on air and sea navigation, will cease once the aggression on Gaza ends and the blockade is lifted”.
