    Xenophobia: More Nigerians return from South Africa

    Xenophobia:Some Nigerian back from South Africa

    LAGOS, Nigeria – More Nigerians today landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, from South Africa, where they had been victims of xenophobic attacks.

    The Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission(NIDCOM) announced the return of the Nigerians today. According to chairman of the commission, Abike Dabiri, the 17 returnees were from Abia State.

    So far over 300 Nigerians have been killed in South Africa with hundreds of Nigerians losing their source of livelihood as a result of xenophobic attacks.

    So far, over 500 Nigerians have returned home since the outset of the attacks all brought home courtesy, Air Peace.

    Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu on Tuesday received 17 Nigerian returnees from South Africa. The 17 returnees were Abia Indigenes who were part of the batches received and profiled by NIDCOM in September 2019 who left South Africa following a wave of xenophobic attacks..
