Lagos State Governor Mr. Babatunde Fashola on Thursday noted that Nigerian men need not be under illusion that women are marginalised, but that women own the world in actual sense.

Fashola who was speaking at the 7th annual Lagos State Taxation Stakeholder’s Conference in Ikeja, Lagos said “You will realise that women own the world when you walk into a departmental store; most of what you see belongs to women and the children”, he said adding that only a small floor space is left for men.

“When there is war, we have conventions that you must not fight women. If there is an emergency women must leave first. I am happy to surrender the world to women”, he said jokingly adding that men are deceived with the usual refrain that women are marginalised.
