LAGOS, Nigeria – Winners of the Djooky online music contest emerged at the weekend. Kazakhstan’s Ulytau who delivered pure bars in his song ‘Jumyr Kylysh emerged winner and  got the $10,000 and an all-expenses-paid recording session at Capitol Recording Studios in Los Angeles, United States of America.

The first runner up is the Chilean Verdugoivf who impressed the judges with his song ‘Summer Vibes’ took home the cash prize of $5,000.

In a gripping finale which saw Nigerian zestful budding artiste, Tambensings deliver a cracker with his original composition ‘Electric Vibe’ took the second runner up prize of $2,000.

Speaking during the award the Nigerian singing sensation said “Never be afraid to be odd, Number One itself is an odd number. Don’t run with the crowd, Be Far from Regular.” This quote is personal to me because it’s what I live by,  to be honest., not being afraid to be a little different and creating your own path”.

Tambensings joins last season’s Nigerian singer, Mimigold da Soundgoddess who took home the significant cash prize in second place as trailblazers in the revolution of the modern African sound.

With this season’s African representatives, alongside millions of participants from Africa, Europe, and America, Djooky online music competition is well on its way to take over global entertainment by creating a unique platform that will shape African talent discovery going forward.

The Djooky online music competition had as judges  multi-platinum US producer Brian Malouf; Grammy-nominated artist and music director Patrice Rushen; Buki Sawyerr Izeogu, Executive Director and Producer of some of the largest music productions and events in Nigeria, CEO & Founder of BukiHQ Media, UK Ivor Novello winning songwriter Sacha Skarbek and Producer/Music Executive/ Songwriter, Justin Gray.
