WASHINGTON – The United States of America has eulogized the virtue of Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe following his resignation.

He will however continue in service until a new PM is appointed.

Prime Minister Abe who has been ill has ruled Japan for eight years. He thanked his people for giving him the privilege to rule and that his resignation will give him time to  manage his physical condition and treatment until a new PM is appointed.

“Of course, until the next prime minister is appointed, we will firmly fulfill that responsibility until the end.

“I hope to manage my physical condition by treatment and support the new system as a member of the Diet”, he said in his resignation note.

But reacting to the development the United States said it deeply values the enduring contributions of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in making the U.S.-Japan relationship the strongest it has ever been.
