LAGOS, Nigeria – Winner of Guilder Ultimate Search (10) Gideon Okeke has been discharged from the hospital where his upper lip allegedly damaged by men of the Nigerian Police was mended medically.
He was allegedly brutalised by policemen at checkpoint in the Makoko area of Lagos but the Commissioner of Police, Lagos, Mr. Edgal Imohimi has ordered for detailed investigation into the incident with a promise that justice will prevail.
Police Public Relations Officer, Zone 2, Dolapo Badmus made the revelation while addressing the incident. She said her attention was called to it via tagging.
“I got report of this incident by tagging. Attention of the police has been drawn to alleged brutalisation of Gideon Okeke by some policemen along Makoko area of Lagos State.
The commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Edgal Imohimi has ordered immediate and detailed investigation into the incident and has assured that justice will prevail. All hands on deck, we sympathise with victims”, she said on the social media.
