Says Owolabi Salis is court jester

A man who couldn’t win his polling unit but seeks to become Governor through judiciary can only be likened to a court jester. This is a voyage to nothingness. We won’t even dissipate our energy on him. He is a clown that should be ignored

IKEJA, Lagos, Nigeria – Governor-elect of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has said he will not join issues with the Governorship candidate of Alliance for Democracy(AD), Chief Owolabi Salis.

Salis and his counterpart in Labour Party(LP), Professor Ifagbemi Awamaridi had addressed a press conference in Lagos, during which they vowed to approach a Federal High Court to stop the swearing-in of governor-elect come May 29, 2019 on the basis that he is mentally ill and and an ex-convict.

But replying to the allegations, Spokesperson to Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Mr Gboyega Akosile said his principal will not join issues with characters like Owolabi Salis, adding that Salis is looking for relevance after his woeful performance during the election.

“Mr. Sanwo-Olu is Governor-elect of Lagos State and by the grace of God, he will be sworn in on the 29th of May as the next Governor of the State”, he said, adding that Salis is behaving like a court jester within a political environment.

“A man who couldn’t win his polling unit but seeks to become Governor through judiciary can only be likened to a court jester. This is a voyage to nothingness. We won’t even dissipate our energy on him. He is a clown that should be ignored”, he said.

My principal, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu will not join issues with a character like Owolabi Salis, who obviously is looking for relevance after his woeful performance during the last Governorship election.

Mr. Sanwo-Olu is Governor-elect of Lagos State and by the grace of God, he will be sworn in on the 29th of May as the next Governor of the State.

Salis is behaving like a court jester within a political environment. A man who couldn’t win his polling unit but seeks to become Governor through judiciary can only be likened to a court jester. This is a voyage to nothingness. We won’t even dissipate our energy on him. He is a clown that should be ignored.
