UMUAHIA, Abia, Nigeria – The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Abia state chapter has denied any involvement in fracas with  agent of People Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

In a statement issued by the ProGIMA-Prof Gregory Ibe Media Associates , APGA  is  refined political party with disciplined minds too big  to engage in a such rascality.

According to the statement, APGA is   focusing on how to rescue Abia state from 21 years of   PDP miss-governance and reduce  the pains of Ndi Abia.

The statement reads in full:

“Our attention having been drawn to the fallacious insinuations of a highly provocative online article  by Uche Aguoru, spokesman of the Abia PDP governorship candidate, we hereby write to refute the allegation of involvement in any form of fracas with agents of the PDP.

Being a people focused grassroots movement we have continued to champion the cause of issue based politicking while shunning every temptation by the PDP  to lower our standards by joining them in their infamous style of uncouth politics fraught with crass incivility.

To put the records straight, the Prof Gregory Ibe Campaign Organization knows nothing about the incident referenced by the article in question. Information available to us confirm that a group of yam vendors who usually hawk their merchandise around the Okpara Square Event Centre had a misunderstanding with agents of PDP who tried to deface the fence area of the facility.

According to an eye witness account the vendors were protesting attempts by agents of the PDP to barricade their merchandize and  the legality of covering existing banners of other candidates with more imposing PDP banners.

We therefore outrightly condemn the baseless and unfounded allegation by the PDP whose stock in trade these past  twenty years of misgovernance in Abia has been brazen despoilment, pillage and brutal plundering of the people.

Rather than resorting to the deceptive scheme of crying wolf, Uche Aguoru and his band of rag tag PDP political buccaneers should go and collect their dirty clothes where they hung them while Prof Gregory Ibe and his Abia APGA team continue to evolve more strategies aimed at providing paid employment, free education and free healthcare to Abians”
