The Lagos State Water Corporation has announced that there will be temporary disruption of water supply in some parts of Lagos between Wednesday July 10 and Thursday July 11.

The Group Managing Director, Engr.Shayo Holloway, stated that the disruption is due to on-going rehabilitation works at Iju intake and headworks.

He enjoined residents likely to be affected by the disruption to bear with the Corporation as normal supply will be restored as soon as the rehabilitation process was completed. Holloway further disclosed that the ongoing rehabilitation work at Adiyan (phase 2), Isashi  and Akute is expected to be completed by October,2013. He stated that the construction of Lekki water works is in progress with the ultimate aim of using the Lekki water works as a model, in line with the Millenium Development Goal.

Meanwhile, no fewer than 575 prepaid metres had been installed at the Lekki axis to enable more residents of the area to enjoy potable water supply in the nearest future.
