VP Yemi Osinbajo opens up on alleged N39 billion link with Magu
ABUJA, Nigeria – Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has opened up on allegations linking him with the suspended Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) Ibrahim Magu and alleged misappropriation of N39 billion.
According to the allegation published by Point Blank news and Newsreel.com, all online newspapers, the embattled EFCC boss who has since been detained by the police embezzled N39 billion out of which he shared N4 billion with the VP.
But in a statement, Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media said the allegations against VP Yemi Osinbajo are false and that they are being circulated by Mr. Jackson Ude.
“With all emphasis at our disposal, let it be firmly stated these are totally false and baseless fabrications purporting to reflect goings-on at the probe panel investigating Ibrahim Magu. They are indeed completely absurd in every respect.

“Sadly, such mindless, vicious and reckless publications have now become the preferred tools of unscrupulous and reprobate elements in our society who are procured with monetary inducements to peddle blatant falsehood, tarnish the image of upright public officials and mislead unsuspecting Nigerians”, he said.
According to him, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will of course not be distracted by these obvious campaigns of lies and calumny.
“The online publications, being criminally defamatory in nature have been referred to the relevant law enforcement agencies for investigation and necessary actions”, he said.
