    Uzodimma reelected Imo State governor

    OWERRI, Imo, Nigeria- Governor Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressive Congress APC has been  declared  winner of the Imo State governorship election conducted in the 27 Local Government Area of the  State on November 11, 2023.
    Declaring Uzodimma winner of the election, the Imo State returning officer, Prof Abayemi Fasina said that the APC governorship candidate pulled a total of 540,308 votes to defeat the PDP candidate Senator Samuel Anywnwu who pulled 71,503 votes, while his Labour Party candidate pulled 64081 votes.
    Others include A 1017, AA 5756 AAC 537, ADC 3178
    ADP 2947, APM 328, APP 306,BP 617,LP 64081, NNPP 1062, NRM  344, PRP 265, SDP 717, YDP 1175, ZLP 805.
    The  returning officer  said that having scored the highest number of votes ,I hereby declared Hope Uzodimma winner and duly elected.
    From the collation of the result, APC won in majority of the 27 Local Government Areas.
    Majority of the party agents refused to sign the results as only 5 political parties signed the results sheet.
    The LP and the PDP were not presence to sign the results sheet.
    However,the Returning Officer for Imo state Governorship election  Professor Abayomi Fasina,VC Federal University Oye, Ekiti  is yet to announce the Total Votes Cast
    Rejected Votes, Valid Votes and Total Accredited Voters for the election.
