AWKA, Nigeria – The Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra, Prof. Charles Esimone has congratulated Dr. Ike Neliaku and Prof Kate Omenugha for their emergence as President and member, Governing Council of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
Esimone , in a statement by the
Special Adviser to the Vice Chancellor on Public Relations and Special Duties, Dr Emmanuel Ojukwu expressed joy and satisfaction over their emergence.
Prof Esimone said he believes that emerging successful in a hard fought election of PR professionals from all over the 36 states and the FCT was no mean feat.
He said that, this is a big honour done to Anambra state as both Dr Neliaku and Prof Omenugha are worthy Ndi Anambra.
According to the VC, Prof Omenugha, journey has been one of hard work and steadfastness.
The Vice Chancellor who is full of praises for the former Head, Department of Mass Communication of Nnamdi Azikiwe University and a former Commissioner of Education in Anambra State,said she is a brand the university is proud of.
“The performance of Prof Omenugha has made her not just the ‘Diamond’ lady of NIPR but also of Unizik based on her outstanding track record” he said
The Vice Chancellor further expresses his unalloyed confidence in the ability of the duo, IDr Ike Neliaku as President and Prof Kate Omenugha as Governing Council Member to steer the growth of the practice of public relations in Nigeria to greater heights.
He wished them a successful tenure” he stated.
