WASHINGTON, United States – President Donald Trump has said that his discussion with President Vladimir Putin was very good and productive.
The talks lasted for hours on the phone. Writing on his social media handle, President Trump said Putin agreed to an immediate truce on energy and infrastructure, with an understanding that we will be working quickly to have a complete ceasefire and ultimately an end to this horrible war between Russia and Ukraine.
He said the war would have never started if he were President then.
Trump said many elements of a contract for peace were discussed, including the facts that thousands of soldiers are being killed and both President Putin and President Zelenskky would like to see it end.
He said the process is now on full force and effect and we will hopefully for the sake of humanity have the job done.
