- President Putin and Defence Secretary, John Healey plotting his kidnap as kidnapping President becomes trendy

UK DEFENCE Secretary John Healey has stunned the world by admitting he wants to KIDNAP, Russian President, Vladimir Putin.
In an extraordinary outburst during a high-stakes visit to war-torn Kyiv, the British defence chief revealed his ultimate fantasy: hauling the Russian tyrant into a cell to face justice.
Standing amidst the wreckage of a residential block recently pulverized by a Russian drone strike, a defiant Mr Healey didn’t mince his words when asked which world leader he’d most like to snatch.
“I’d take Putin into custody,” he declared, as the smell of cordite still hung in the winter air. “I’d hold him to account for war crimes.”
The bombshell comments sent shockwaves through Westminster last night, with some wondering if the pressure of the four-year conflict had finally seen the Defence Sec go INSANE.
One source told The SCM: “We did wonder if he was going a bit loopy. It’s one thing to send missiles, it’s another to suggest a James Bond-style snatch mission on the Kremlin!”
But Mr Healey, 65, insisted his “kidnap” wish was fueled by the “pure evil” he has witnessed on the frontline.
The Defence Secretary cited the harrowing atrocities at Bucha and the “heartbreaking” abduction of Ukrainian children in Irpin as the reasons the Russian President belongs behind bars.
Pointing to the mangled remains of a Kyiv apartment block behind him, he barked:
“This tells you all you need to know about Putin. He is determined to target civilians, cities, and the infrastructure people depend on in the middle of winter. This is a man who must be stopped.”
The “get Putin” pledge comes at a boiling point for the UK’s involvement in the war.
Earlier this week, Mr Healey announced a £200 MILLION cash injection to prep British troops for a potential deployment to Ukraine as part of a “Multinational Force” if a ceasefire is reached.
Healey also promised a “1,000-a-month” swarm of new Octopus interceptor drones to knock Vlad’s “kamikaze” birds out of the sky.
But while the UK ramps up its hardware, it’s Healey’s “custody” claim that has Moscow seeing red.
Last night, Kremlin cronies were expected to hit back at the “outrageous” threat, while back in Blighty, the Defence Sec’s “Rambo” moment has left MPs asking: Has he got a plan, or has he just lost the plot?
