WASHINGTON – The United States of America has imposed sanctions on 10  Russian Naval entities over ongoing  war in Ukraine which has led to loss of lives and destruction of properties.

A large percentage of Ukraine has been devasted by the Russian invasion, while many residents have fled Ukraine.

In a statement, Secretary of State, Antony J. Blinken said the U.S is committed to imposing additional severe consequences on President Putin and his enablers for Russia’s unconscionable war against Ukraine.

He said the state is targeting  Russian navy as  a result of its operations against Ukrainian ports, including those that are providing much-needed food and grain to the world, the United States decided to impose sanctions on Russian naval entities.

“Specifically, the Department of State is designating 10 Russian naval entities pursuant to Executive Order 14024. More information on each sanctioned entity is available in this fact sheet”, he said.

He noted that the United States remains determined to use all appropriate measures to deter Russia’s attacks on Ukraine – whether those attacks are from the air, land, or sea.

“These accountability measures underscore a simple message: the Kremlin must end its brutal campaign against Ukraine”, he said.
