Later on he rose to the pinnacle of American politics as a congressman from Texas, envoy to China, Director of Central Intelligence, Vice President of eight years to President Ronald Reagan, and finally President of the United States

LAGOS, Nigeria – Tributes have continued to pour in for the 43rd President of the United States of America, George H. W. Bush who passed on last night. He was 94.
His children announced his passing earlier today on the social media.
“Jeb, Neil, Marvin, Doro and I are saddened to announce that after 94 remarkable years, our dear dad has died. George H. W. Bush was a man of the highest character, and the best dad a son or daughter could ask for”, his family said.
Since then, it has been one tribute after another. First, President of the United States, Mr. Donald Trump cancelled his scheduled press conference after the G20 summit in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
According to him, President George H.W. Bush led a long, successful and beautiful life. “Whenever I was with him I saw his absolute joy for life and true pride in his family. His accomplishments were great from beginning to end. He was a truly wonderful man and will be missed by all!”, Trump wrote on twitter.
But in a lenghty statement, he released with his wife, Melania, the family described George H.W. Bush as a man that inspired generations of his fellow Americans to life of public service.
“President H. W Bush inspired generations of his fellow Americans to public service. President Bush always found a way to set the bar higher. As a young man he captained the Yale Baseball team, and then went on to serve as the youngest aviator, in the United States Navy, during the second World War. Later on he rose to the pinnacle of American politics as a congressman from Texas, envoy to China, Director of Central Intelligence, Vice President of eight years to President Ronald Regan, and finally President of the United States”, he said.
In his remarks, former president of the United States, Mr. Barracks Obama described him as a humble patriot.
“America has lost a patriot and humble servant in George Herbert Walker Bush. While our hearts are heavy today, they are also filled with gratitude. Our thoughts are with the entire Bush family tonight – and all who were inspired by George and Barbara’s example”, he said.
French President, Mr. Emmanuel Macron described him as a great leader and strong supporter of the Europe alliance.
“On behalf of the French people, I extend my condolences to the American nation following the passing of former US President George Bush Sr. He was a great leader and a strong supporter of the alliance with Europe. Our thoughts to his family and loved ones”, he said.
Former President of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe simply passed his condolence to his family.
“My age mate and a friend, George H. W. Bush has died at 94. Rest in Peace, Bush”, he said.
From Nigeria, Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party,(PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar described him as a man of principle who fought for freedom and democracy and left a pattern of service to the world.
“Former President George H.W. Bush, was a lover of Nigeria so much his favourite musician was Fela Kuti. A man of principle who fought for freedom and democracy and whose life was a pattern of service to his nation and the world. He will be missed. May his soul rest in peace. -AA”, he said.
