    Tinubu okays N114 million for media chat to mark 100 days in office

    ABUJA, Nigeria – Despite the economic hardship Nigerians are going through coupled with persistent pleas that there is no money, President Bola Tinubu has approved the sum of N 114 million for media chat to mark his 100 days in office.

    This was contained in a leaked memo tagged restricted from the office of Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. George Akume dated August 23, 2023 but approved eight days later on 30/8/ 2023.

    In the secret memo, which referenced The Chief of Staff to the President, is entitled, “ Re: Commemoration of the First 100 days in office of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

    In the memo, a membership committee for the media chat was composed of SGF as chairman of the committee, PS, State House, PS Information and Special Adviser to the President on Media were members, while PS PEAO is secretary of the committee.

    In the secret memo, the total cost of the media chat was N108 million, while N6 million is for logistics, bringing the total cost to N114 million.

    The approval of President Bola Tinubu was conveyed in writing as follows: “I am directed to forward Reference A to you and to convey to you Mr. President’s approval on page 2”, the second memo, signed by Damilotun Aderemi, Private Secretary to the President said in closing the secret memo.
