ZURICH, Switzerland – The queen of Rock n Roll music, Tina Turner is dead. She was 83. She died peacefully today at his home in Kunsacht, near Zurich, Switzerland.
Tina Tuner has been ill for some time, from high blood pressure which later resulted in kidney problem, a development that forced her out of the music scene.
Tina Turner was a delight to watch on stage even at old age with a very unique voice and stage craft.
A global recording star, Tina earned her first Grammy in 1972 for Proud Mary and has since then won several Grammy awards.
Announcing her death, the family said: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner. With her music, her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow.
“ Today, we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work, her music. All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her family. Tina, we miss you dearly”, her family wrote.
