    THE WOLVERINE LEADS AT BOX OFFICE WITH $53.1 MILLION

    The Wolverine

    Here are the top five box office films for the week from bottom to the top.  Grown Ups 2 is number 5 for the week.  Distributed by Sony Pictures, the film made at least 11.6 million Dollars after featuring in 3, 258 theatres worldwide. At number 4 is the film Turbo.

    Distributed by Fox, the film made 13.74 million Dollars after putting up an impressive showing in 3809 cinemas worldwide to get to that position.

    At number 3 is Despicable Me2, marketed by Universal. That film made 16.4 million Dollars after appearing in 3,476 theatres around the world to hit that position. At number 2 is The Conjuring, which put a total sum of 22.2 million Dollars in the hands of Universal at the weekend after having an impressive show in 3,022 cinemas worldwide.

    And then the film that made the highest amount of money during the week is The Wolverine. Distributed by Fox, the film made a total sum of 53.1 million Dollars in 3,924 theatres around the world to make it to the number one position.
