It is now obvious that governors in Nigeria are not interested in judicial and parliamentary autonomy enshrined in the 1999 constitution. They are interested in ruling autocratically without any recourse to the Nigerian constitution

The National Executive Council(NEC) of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria(JUSUN) has vowed to continue with the ongoing nationwide strike to press for financial autonomy for the judiciary.
