DONALD TRUMP has sensationally declared the Presidency the “world’s most dangerous profession” after surviving yet another brush with death at a high-society Washington bash.
The 47th President was whisked off stage in a frantic scramble on Saturday night as a “lone wolf” gunman opened fire at the star-studded White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
Panic erupted in the ballroom of the Washington Hilton as journalists and celebrities dived under tables while Secret Service agents tackled the attacker at a security checkpoint.
’Impactful’ Target
Speaking from the White House just hours after the drama, a defiant Trump told reporters that assassins keep coming for him because he is “impactful.”
”I can’t imagine any profession more dangerous,” the President said, reflecting on the third major attempt on his life in two years. “The people who make the biggest impact, those are the ones they go after.
”I want to live because I want to change America. I don’t like to let these sick people change the fabric of our lives.”
The President revealed that one “very brave” Secret Service agent took a direct hit to the torso while subduing the gunman.
The agent was saved by his bulletproof vest and is said to be in “great spirits” despite the close-range blast from what Trump described as a “very powerful gun.”
The shooter, identified as 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen from California, was reportedly armed with a shotgun, a handgun, and multiple knives. He is currently under guard in a local hospital.
Despite the attempt on his life, the Commander-in-Chief insisted the “thugs” would not derail his foreign policy—specifically his hardline stance against Tehran.
”This won’t deter me from winning in Iran,” he vowed, linking the internal threats to his global “mission.”
This latest attack marks a chilling escalation in the threats against Donald Trump since his return to the frontlines of US politics.
July 2024: Trump narrowly escaped death when a sniper’s bullet grazed his ear during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
September 2024: A second would-be assassin was thwarted while lying in wait at the President’s West Palm Beach golf course.
The Iran Factor: The US is currently locked in a high-stakes standoff with Iran, with Trump recently warning that a “whole civilization” could be at risk if the regime doesn’t back down over the Strait of Hormuz.
Sun Says: Once again, the Secret Service has stood between a President and a bullet. Whether you love him or loathe him, the “dangerous profession” of the US Presidency has never looked more literal.
