BARCELONA sent out a thunderous message to the rest of Europe as Hansi Flick’s star-studded side comfortably dispatched Athletic Club 2-0 at a roaring Spotify Camp Nou.
Goals from clinical skipper Raphinha and in-form starlet Fermín López sealed a sparkling victory that sent the reigning champions straight to the top of the La Liga table. But while the scoreline suggests a routine win, the performance was a breathless showcase of superstar talent, featuring the debut of Spain’s midfield maestro Rodri and another dazzling display from teen sensation Lamine Yamal.

Barcelona also won 12 corners to Athletic’s 5 and registered 44 touches inside the opposition penalty area, completely outmatching Athletic’s 12.
