Hansi Flick’s sensational Barcelona side put on a dazzling display of attacking football at the Spotify Camp Nou, obliterating newly-promoted Racing Santander 7-2 in a breathless La Liga spectacle.
On a night where the Catalan heavyweights proved simply unstoppable, Brazilian wizard Raphinha stole the show with a sensational hat-trick, while wonderkid Lamine Yamal and fullback João Cancelo left Santander spellbound.
Barcelona took control from the opening whistle, monopolizing possession with 71 per cent of the ball across ninety minutes. The deadlock was broken after just eight minutes when João Cancelo surged down the flank and smashed home a stunning opener.
Racing Santander found themselves completely overwhelmed by the home side’s rapid passing tempo, racking up 24 total shots with 12 landing on target.

Yet any hint of a Santander fightback was swiftly erased two minutes later when Karim Adeyemi was hauled down in the box.
Raphinha stepped up once again to complete his triumphant hat-trick from the spot, taking his tally to three on the night.
Substitute Gabriel Jesus added a sixth in the 79th minute with a clinical finish inside the box after coming off the bench.
To cap off a masterclass in attacking football, 19-year-old superstar Lamine Yamal got the goal his electrifying performance deserved, skipping past two defenders in the 89th minute to fire in Barca’s seventh.
Over the course of the match, Barcelona generated a staggering 4.85 expected goals (xG) compared to Racing Santander’s 0.92, completing 642 passes at an elite 91 per cent success rate.
The referee handed out five yellow cards—three to Barcelona and two to Racing—in an encounter that saw 18 total fouls committed.
Racing Santander’s goalkeeper made five saves, but could do nothing to stop a ruthless Barcelona team that continues its dominant start to the season with 28 goals scored across six league matches.
