LAGOS, Nigeria – Senator representing Kaduna Central District, Senator Shehu Sani has said has descended on Minister for Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola for his comment on state of power supply in Nigeria.

The minister who was speaking on the state of power in Nigeria said that thank God, some states now enjoy 24 hours power supply.
Reacting to his state, Sani said the state of power supply the minister was refering to happens only in other planets like Uranus, Venus, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn and Neptune.

“Senator Shehu Sani @ShehuSaniSome of the states that now enjoy 24 hours of electricity are Uranus,Venus,Jupiter,Mars,Saturn and Neptune”, he said.

Fashola has attributed improvement in power supply to increment in transmission.

“Sitting down here, I can tell you some states that have almost 24 hours – Kebbi, Yobe. Some have five, some have 10 and there are still outages.

“The generation capacity is also increasing. It is a value chain where the distribution is not matching up the available power and from time to time, there are slacks. “The short term goals are incremental power and stable supply in some places.”
