MOSCOW, Russia – The Russian government is currently tinkering with a bill to pave way for foreigners whose area of specialisation are highly needed in the Russian Federation to obtain citizenship.

The bill, prepared by Russia’s Interior Ministry is currently on the website of draft laws and regulation.

According to the ministry, the proposed law applies to foreign citizens and persons without citizenship, who are qualified and sought after in various segments of the Russian economy.

Under the current law qualified foreign citizens have right to obtain Russian citizenship by working in Russia for a period of 3 years under the occupation listed in the affected registry.
