Lagos, Nigeria- March 27, 2016 – The Rivers United technical manager, Stanley Eguma is featuring virtually the same side that drew 0-0 with Sunshine Stars on match day eight of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL)for today’s game with Ikorodu United.

Eguma has however tweaked his tactics as for the first time this season, the former Dolphins gaffer goes with a 4-3-3 formation.

Sunday Rotimi starts in goal for the Port Harcourt club while the same back four that got the nod to start against Sunshine Stars at the Yakubu Gowon (former Port Harcourt Liberation) Stadium will get yet another chance at the Onikan Stadium on Sunday.

Chiwendu Ali starts at left back, Chigozie Ihunda is the preferred right back while the duo of Gabriel Olalekan and Festus Austin are the centre halves.

Yusuf Jaiyeola, Christian Weli and Christian Weli all start in midfield while a three pronged attack of Wilson Andoh, Chukwunonso Okonkwo and Guy Kuemian will be saddled with the responsibility of providing the goals for the ‘Pride of Rivers’.

Eguma was in bullish mood when explaining his change in tactics.
“We are here (in Lagos) to win. A draw is not good enough. “It is as simple as that. Luck has largely been on our side in the four games we have played away from home this season. I believe this will be the day when we finally get it right this season,” Eguma told Rivers United Media.

Rivers United are currently in 11th place in the NPFL standings with 10 points from eight matches.
