    #RevolutionNow: DSS nabs Omoyele Sowore

    IKEJA, Lagos, Nigeria – Just about 48 hours to the #RevolutionNow, a movement put together to protest attempt by the Federal Government of Nigeria to foist RUGA on Nigerians and the worsening insecurity in Nigeria, the major organiser, Omoyele Sowore has been arrested.

    He was arrested around 1:25 am today by operatives of the Department of State Service, DSS.

    The protest planned for major cities including Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt is scheduled to take off on Monday morning. Sowore, a former Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress(AAC) and Publisher Saharareporters was arrested by the DSS in his home and taken to the headquarters of the service at Magodo, Ikosi, Lagos.

    Sowore announced his arrest via his tweeter account “DSS invades Sowore’s.” Omoyele Sowore @YeleSowore, his attempt to follow it up was interrupted. He ended up only tweeting ‘Jap”, before his phone was presumably seized.

    Few hours before his arrest, Sowore had tweeted, “A Catholic Priest was killed in Enugu and now five Redeem Church Of God pastors have been kidnapped, if you still have the illusion that the @MBuhariregime can protect you, well, Goodluck! #Revolution #DaysofThunder #DaysofRage #August5”, he said.
