January 16, 2015 – President Goodluck Jonathan today paid surprise visit to NAF 7 Division Hospital, Maiduguri to personally see to the welfare of wounded soldiers in the hospital.
According to Director Defence information, Major General Chris Olukolade, the soldiers whose zeal in the ongoing war were gingered by the visit saluted the President even on their sick bed.
The president also visited other soldiers in the battle against insurgents and encouraged them in the ongoing war before posing with them for a photograph.
It is the first time that the Nigerian military will be publishing the visit of the President to the North-east since the outset of the insurgents.
