LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Police has arrested famous singer, Habib Okikiola better known as Portable for assaulting policemen.
We gathered that he was arrested following the expiration of the 72 hours given to him to turn himself in for raining curses and abusing men and rough handling men of the Nigeria Police on video his Instagram wall.
Portable had in the video alleged that an internet fraudster invaded his bar with policemen to arrest staff working for him in the bar but the police claimed the affected staff were arrested based on a petition.
Premium Times reported that the singer is now in detention at Eleweran Police Headquarters in Abeokuta.
Portable became famous just after one hit song. He has been able to combine his outing with propaganda, and other antics to get to his destination. But it seems he has allowed his fame to get into his head getting into confrontation with the Nigeria Police and his senior colleagues.
Recall the brawl he had with the Nigeria Police when he described himself as a member of a notorious cult group responsible for dozens of murder in Ogun State only for him to retract his statement when it dawned on him that his arrest is imminent.
