IKEJA, Lagos, Nigeria – A plane belonging to Peace Airline, one of the local airlines in Nigeria on Tuesday crashlanded in Lagos at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
According to officials of the Nigerian Civil Authority, NCAA, no life was lost but the affected plane damaged the runway when the front axle got into contact with the runway.
The plane lost the front wheels which were where completely shattered. The back tyres were also damaged. The inner compartment and the wings were seriously affected by the impact.
But Spokesperson of NCAA, Henrietta Yakubu said the regulatory agency still awaits details of the crash.
In January 2019, passengers were thrown into panic when tryres of one of the planes in the fleet of Air Peace burst on the runway in attempt to take off.
