LEKKI, Lagos, Nigeria – The Presidential candidate of Labour Party, LP, Mr. Peter Obi was with the widow and family of Late Chief Humphrey Anumudu, the Imo State Governorship candidate of the party who passed on after submitting his nomination form in Lagos.

Obi was among the dignitaries at the All Souls Church, Lekki, where the service of songs was held.

“Yesterday, along with many Labour Party and the OBIdient Family faithfuls, I attended the service of songs at the All Souls Church, Lekki for Late Chief Humphrey Anumudu, a leading LP gubernatorial aspirant in Imo State, who died suddenly on the 24th of March 2023”, Peter Obi said.

He added, “in mourning Chief Anumudu, I commiserate with his wife, Mrs Ngozi Anumudu, the children, and the entire Anumudu family”, he said, adding that his sudden death was a huge loss to the Labour Party, the OBIdient Family, and the people of Imo State.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Anumudus, and I pray to God to grant them all the fortitude to bear this huge loss and to also grant eternal repose to the deceased”, he said.

Recall that the Labour Party refunded the money Chief Anumudu invested in purchase of the form shortly after his death to his widow, following plea from Peter Obi.
