A DEVASTATING fire-fight has erupted in the Persian Gulf after American fighter jets targeted and destroyed two Iranian military speedboats, leaving four sailors dead and pushing the Middle East to the brink of total collapse.
The high-stakes shootout occurred in the highly volatile waters near the Strait of Hormuz, threatening to completely derail delicate, behind-the-scenes peace negotiations currently taking place in Qatar.
Tehran has reacted with fury to the naval interception, immediately identifying the four slain Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy personnel and branding them as “martyrs.”

The Pentagon and US Central Command (CENTCOM) moved swiftly to justify the lethal action, insisting that American forces acted entirely in self-defence.
According to military officials on background, the IRGC Navy fast-attack speedboats were intercepted while behaving aggressively and attempting to emplace naval mines across critical commercial shipping lanes.
A US military spokesperson confirmed:
”U.S. forces conducted self-defense strikes in southern Iran today to protect our troops and international shipping from immediate threats posed by Iranian forces. The operation was entirely defensive in nature.”
White House sources added that US fighter jets scrambled from an aircraft carrier operating in the Arabian Sea after the speedboats ignored repeated radio warnings to back down.
When the Iranian vessels continued their hostile maneuvers, the American aircraft opened fire with precision-guided munitions, obliterating both speedboats.
