PORT HARCOURT, River – Protest as usually has continued to trail the declaration of Siminialayi Fubara as winner of the governorship and house of assembly election held in River State during the election on Saturday.

Siminialayi Fubara of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP polled  302, 614 votes to emerge winner of the election.

The party also won all the 23 local government in an election which party agents say was a mere allocation of results outside what actually took place.

The All Progressive Congress, APC scored 95, 275 votes to place second, while ADC came third with 46, 981 votes.  Candidate of the Labour Party,  scored 22, 224 votes in the election.

 Fubara is governor Wike’s Director of Finance and Administration.
