OSHIOMHOLE LEAVES EDO WITH N46.289 BN LOCAL DEBT: $168.186MN EXTERNAL DEBT
Nigeria, Aug, 29, 2016 – The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has accused candidate of the All Progressive Congress(APC) in the September 10 governorship election, Mr. Godwin Obaseki of running away from debate with its candidate, Mr. Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
The PDP which made the revelation on Tweeter alluded to a number of reasons for this development. According to PDP, the APC government under Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has received N1.4 trillion from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) besides the N3.167 bailout from the Federal Government.
It tweeted that Osiomhole will be leaving government with a debt profile of N46,289, 079, 475.93 local debt up from N4.4billion in 2008.
The party added that the Adams Oshiomhole government will in addition be leaving the state with external debt profile of $168,186,197.48.
The PDP explained that despite the money received, the funds have no impact on the people of Edo State.
It added that Benin City still floods every time it rains despite the collection and supposed application of N30 billion loan.
The party argued that these are the facts driving the APC candidates away from debate with the PDP candidate.
