OSHOGBO, Nigeria – Osun State Governor, Sen. Ademola Adeleke has said that the former governor of the state, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola left about N76 billion debt for the state, contrary to the former governor who said he was not owing and that he left N14 billion for the new government.
Spokesman for the governor, Olawale Rasheed said in a statement that the debt figures for the state were provided by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Mrs. Bimbe Ogunlumade, while she was briefing journalists on the matter.
According to his statement, breakdown of the debt is as follows:
N29, 875, 191, 128. 64 for salary.
