    Osun tribunal annuls election of Ademola Adeleke as governor

    OSOGBO, Osun – The Osun State Election Tribunal sitting in Osogbo, Osun State today  annulled the election of Senator Ademola Adeleke as Osun State Governor.

    The tribunal also declared the former governor, Gboyega Oyetola as winner of the election

    Justice Tetsea Kume,  who read the majority decision declared that INEC did not comply substantially with the Constitution and the provisions of the Electoral Act.

    The tribunal subsequently deducted what it recorded as the over-voting observed  and declared final results as follows.

    According to the tribunal,  the former governor, Gboyega Oyetola  scored  314, 921 votes, while Adeleke’s scored 290, 266 and subsequently declared Oyetola as winner of the election.

    During the election held last year, Senator Ademola Adeleke scored 403,371 votes, while Gboyega Oyetola scored 375, 027 votes.
