LAGOS – Member of the dissolved media team of the All Progressive Congress, Presidential Campaign Council, APCPCC, Mr. Bayo Onanuga has called on the security forces to caution former President of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, PMAN, Mr. Charles Oputa alias Charly Boy.
Charly Boy had in on his social media handle alluded to the riots in France over police brutality and shooting to death of a teenager by posting the picture of France on fire.
His exact words are: “This isn’t Syria, Iraq or Afghanistan. This is France where 9 percent of the population has brought down entire cities.
“Karma for Africa? Am waiting on the exceptional Nigerian youths to reject a system that let them down. Una destiny dey una hand”, the musician said.
Charly Boy also outlined the breakdown of the timeline at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, PEPT and urged Nigerians to save the dates and he said.
“From here on, we must be very focussed and take these dates very seriously. If the judiciary fails to dispense justice, we must take our destiny in our hands. None but ourselves can save ourselves.
“The Last hope of the common man is the Common Man”, he said.
But responding to his message, Bayo Onanuga described Charly Boy as a highly irresponsible man at 73 and imputed that the musician is calling on Nigerian youths to burn down the criminal enterprise, called Nigeria.
“ The security agencies should call this old man to order immediately”, he said.
Early Charly Boy had described INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu as the number one enemy of Nigeria.
According to him, the INEC Chairman collected over N300 billion of the 2023 general election but ended up selling the mandate to Tinubu.
“Una forget say Yakubu bin visit Tinubu for Lagos State sm days before the 2023 election. A president cannot defend a nation if he is not held accountable to its laws.
“Nigerian youths, una get power pass all dis criminals in power. If we no fit show dem say our craze pass dem own, dem no go stop to dey pepper us wit poverty. Suffer don tire me ooo”, he said.
