JEDDAH – The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, OIC has called on the United Nations to assume its responsibility towards  Syria which has become the scene of unprovoked bombardment by Israel since the fall of Bashir Al Assad.

The OIC made the calls as hundreds of innocent  Syrians have been killed following the decision of Israel  to add Syria to territory that needed pounding in the quest to expand its unbridled quest for territories.

In a statement, the General Secretariat of OIC condemned in the strongest terms the continued Israeli aggression against the Syrian territory and the Israeli occupation forces’ bombing of the Syrian town of Koya resulting in many casualties among innocent people, in flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the Syrian Arab Republic, international law and the United Nations Charter.
