The Denro-Ishasi road which was initially tarred when Otunba Gbenga Daniel was governor of Ogun State has been abandoned by successive government and it has become a source of headache to residents of the area especially due to perennial flood.
The Denro-Ishasi road requires a bridge to save residents who are subjected to undue hardship, with some even forced to flee their homes for months as a result of the perennial flooding of Ogun River.
“When the flood comes, we are not able to drive our cars and some of us will relocate due to the volume of water on the road which cuts off residents of Denro from the rest of the world. But we are happy that they have approved it but we hope that they will also make provision for a permanent bride in the area”, Kwekwu Thomas who lives in the area said after hearing the news.
