YENEGOA, Bayelsa – Nigeria’s former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo was today in Bayelsa for routine medical check-up. It was in fulfillment of his earlier vow to carry out routine medical check up in the newly constructed Bayelsa Specialist Hospital.




The former president also attended the first Maternal/Infant Summit during which the Bayelsa State Governor, Mr. Henry Seriake Dickson presented a cheque of N1.2 billion to the hospital to improve healthcare in Bayelsa.

He also thanked the former president for redeeming his pledge.

“I Launched the First Maternal/ Infant Summit today and Presented N1.2b Cheque To Improve Healthcare Delivery in the state.

“I sincerely thank His Excellency The former President Olusegun Obasanjo for keeping to his promise to use the Bayelsa Specialist Hospital for his routine well checks”, he said.
