Nigeria, June 15, 2016 – Former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musliu Obanikoro has condemned invasion of his residence in Lagos by officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC), describing the development as nothing but a throwback to tyrannical past that is better forgotten.
Obanikoro who was reacting to the invasion of his home on Tweeter said he has never received any invitation from the EFCC before the invasion.
“This invasion therefore is premature”, he said, adding that for 16 hears, democrats like himself fought and conquered despotism for good but that in one year, this government brought it back.
The operatives of the EFCC were said to have carted away items after a frantic search on his residence including vehicles.
