ONITSHA, Anambra, Nigeria – Coordinator of National Youth Corps Service NYSC Anambra state chapter Mrs Baderinwa Yetunde has warned prospective corps members deployed to the State against drugs abuse.
She also counseled corps members to shun hate speeches and fake news. Mrs. Baderinwa Yetunde gave the advice at the Nnamdi Azikiwe NYSC Unity permanent orientation camp Umuawualu /Mbaukwu Awka South Local Government Area while presenting a brief to corps members deployed to serve in Anambra State.
According to Mrs Baderinwa, corps members should avoid hard drugs especially the dreaded Crystal Methamphetamine popularly known as Mkpuru-mmiri in the South East geopolitical zone and sharing fake news on social media.
She also stated that the issue of hard and dangerous drugs are prevalent in the society, urging the graduate youths to shun abuse of hard drugs especially the dreaded “Mkpuru-mmiri”
According to her, most information floating on the social media space are mostly unverified information.
“Please crosscheck facts before Sharing and desist from propagating hate speeches” she said.
