LAGOS, Nigeria – Pretty Nollywood actress, Foluke Daramola Salako, and her husband Ezekiel Kayode Salako have split on political lines.
Foluke Daramola who has always joined the campaign of the All Progressive Congress, APC made the Presidential Council list of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This is not surprising for many as a result of her closeness to the Presidential candidate of the APC.
He was among the prominent dignitaries by her side during her wedding to Ezekiel Salako. However, her husband who has been caught in the Peter Obi movement remains Obidient and presently a leading member of the Labour Party in Lagos. He is in fact the chairman of LP in Lagos.
Speaking on the development, Daramola who made her entry into Nollywood when she featured in Palace, a soap opera produced by Tunji Bamishigbin told PM News that her husband’s role will not affect her loyalty to APC..
“Those who know my husband know he eats and breathes Labour Party. He joined Labour as a citizen who had a different ideology and wants to be part of a different structure.
“He never knew he will become the Chairman but in the long run, people in his party saw his passion, dedication and commitment and they decided to make him the Chairman in Lagos.”
She said her husband is not autocratic. “He respects my decision and my opinion. As I said, he had a different ideology to mine and yet he respects my decision to follow my belief in the APC structure.”
