LAGOS, Nigeria – Popular Nollywood actor Ojo Arowosegbe who played Fadeyi Oloro in the television series, Arelu produced by Jimoh Aliu is dead. He was 66 years.

Arelu was a Yoruba series that aired on television in the 80s and Ojo Arowosegbe became the second and the last to play the character, Fadeyi Oloro.

It is not clear what killed him but Fadeyi Oloro has been out of the acting scene for quite a while now having been held down by old age and failing health.

But sources say he died  on Tuesday evening of kidney-related ailments.

Popular comedian Woli Arole confirmed his demise in a post via his Instagram page.

“So happy I reached out to you sir, so happy we played our part, so happy we laughed together, so happy we were able to show our support.

“Rest in Peace the Legend “Fadeyi Oloro”. Let’s check up on people when dey are alive, Let’s show love when people can feel, Let’s help when it can be seen”, he said on his Instagram page.
